I found a current time solar system plotter at the Texas A&M Astronomical Observatory.
Mercury was just visible to the average digital ccd in the photos of 9 September 2008. It is less than 62 million miles away from Earth. The map from the SSP plotter confirms the three planets are lined up for our viewing pleasure.
In short,
Sun, 93.000307 million miles, 8.333 minutes light time (one way)
Mercury, 61.165 million miles, 5.446 minutes light time
Venus, 127 million miles, 11.41 mins light time
Mars, 231.16 million miles, 20.666 mins light time
Jupiter, 465.57567 million miles, 41.6333 mins light time
Saturn, 951.729 million miles, 1hr 25 mins light time
Neptune, 2732 million miles, 4.07194 hours light time
