Once a working harbour 2

This shot sums it all up and then some. Industrial Woolloomooloo, just doing what comes naturally. But the end of the era came soon after.

Was there a recession in 1980? I seem to recall at least a strike, holding up those cars for a while on Finger Wharf. There was much industrial unrest, "in them days".

The sunlight captured in all these shots has withstood the test of time,
and still shines.

Spookily empty CBD skyline

Sunset with bat

It's still distant, but there's a bat headed this way, (near the MLC building) which I did not notice. There's still plenty of light, so either it is an insomniac, or there is an especially luscious source of fruit or syrup in season, somewhere around the place, or further out at Centennial Park.

At this point I start to see it, and quickly it is almost overhead and gone, so with a wild swing and a click of the camera,

Wow! Got the furry, fleetly flapping fuzzball on the wing.

The sunset was very good too.
