Starts out innocently enough at 6:56 am.

But by 7:05 am things had changed . .

Friday night special power outage

Kookaburras atop the Metro

Cackling at 6:20 am. A pair of true to type kookaburras! Not much light but still worth the effort. No mistaking those thick heads and powerful beaks.

Pigeons atop the Metro

Nice and warm when the sun hits the slab around 7:40 am.

The local populace are feeling good.

Most of the flock is flying around doing crazy turns, getting some exercise in between the rain.

Most amusingly, no matter what, this one just isn't into anything but staying nonchalent.

At 6:42 am, things lit up very quickly, very brightly!


Nice to see St Mary's Cathedral in these shots.

The specks in the sky are seagulls. There's a gusty wind blowing.
